I was born in June of 1967 in southeastern Massachusetts. As an adult I lived in DC for 11 years then New York City for nearly 30 before I retired from a 35-year career in nonprofit management. Today I am a hospice volunteer, end-of-life doula, and founder of ElderKin, an elder life enrichment practice.

All my life I’ve recognized in myself an openness to knowing the world by reaching beyond the 5 senses. I experimented and played with many different philosophies and practices of discernment: yoga, buddhist meditation, mindfulness-based stress reduction, the tao, stoicism, theosophy, reiki, the Tarot, the Akashic Records, evolutionary astrology, esoteric astrology, core shamanism, and many theories on the nature of Consciousness.

My long journey led me to reveal my own distinct practice of astrology that is neo-shamanic in nature.

MoonHeart Cycle™

When we share space together to look at your chart in detail, I’ll teach you more about the MoonHeart Cycle, how I apply it, and how you can continue to work with it. Here I will share that when looking at a chart I pay very close attention to the Moon: the sign it is in, its phase, the lunar nodes, and the progressed lunation chart. Additionally, I interpret your chart using discernment through my “essence map,” the modern medicine wheel graphic shown here. This entails a spirit-journey visualization technique to reveal deeper meaning beyond what the astrological calculations suggest.

The MoonHeart Cycle rests on the principles of Acceptance, Discipline, and Imagination. Put succinctly, we accept that we are spiritual beings, growing and evolving through life’s experiences, and connected to Oneness through the wonderment of our mind. Guided by these principles, we open ourselves to the guidance of Grandmother Moon, who carries us across a repeating series of thresholds along life’s path: Initiations, Revelations, Separations, and Resolutions. The alignments between Earth, Sun, and Moon maintain these cycles, while the planets and stars imbue each threshold with a distinctive, complex essence. This is the underlying alchemy inherent in my MoonHeart Cycle approach to astrology.
